  Why I hate Tuesdays

  all throughout my life tuesdays were my meeting nights.

  well tuesdays and thursdays to be more precise, when we had book study but book study was at my house so it wasn't terrible.

  anyways as a kid i hated coming home from school, doing homework and then going to the meetings.

  Will the kingdom hall of jehovahs witnesses signs eventually come down?

  it is clear that the leaders of the jehovahs witness religion are rebranding.

  so as a strategy they could have both the jw.org signs and kingdom hall signs running at the same time and then in a few years instruct congregations to remove the kingdom hall signs.

  this happens all the time with commercial products when there are mergers and company takeovers.. .

  Will JW.ORG actually harm the WT Society Long Term ?

  my son and i were discussing this yesterday over coffee.

  since the wt society in previous years virtually demonized going on the internet at all for jw's - now wt leaders are doing a complete turn around or about face probably so as to " compete " or keep up with all the anti-jw websites that are out there to give the wt society point of view.. however- it very well may backfire on them as once people start doing google searches looking for jw.org it will bring up all the other websites dealing with any jw issues and in the privacy of their own homes out of curiosity i'm sure lots of jw's are going to want to check out some of these sites to see what all the " apostate " hoopla is all about.

  i wonder how many jw's will do this and will it have an effect in opening more minds to other views ?

  I think about 50% of those who come across a site other than the Wt. will look into it. Maybe not at once but as time goes by they will look at see what the other side is saying. I am only going by what happen to me. We should all remember the GB is run by a bunch of old men who for the most part do not know much about the internet. I think this new web site they have is like a new toy to them. It most likely makes them feel more important or computer hip in their eyes. Just because they tell the flock not to read apostate sites does not mean they won't. Apostate sites out rank them 10 to 1. This is what happens to a organization that was so hard nose about the internet for so long. They deserve whatever they get. Still Totally ADD

  Autumn...

  i've just glanced out my window and i saw the most picturesque countryside.

  i do believe we're entering autumn.

  so summer has had its day and like an old friend slipped away and we moves on...how do you feel about entering autumn?.

  After this wet cool summer I am hoping autumn will be better. The national weather service has given their fall forcast as being warmer than normal for PA. I sure hope they are right. Less rain more sun. The mountains in our area are already about 30% in color. We are about 2 weeks to early for this. Will maybe the color will last for awhile. Looking for a extended warm period for Oct. so I can get a little more garden in. Still Totally ADD

  My jw mum threw us out.

  my brother (non-jw but became a christian 6 months ago) and i nursed my aged jw mother back to a semblance of strength over the last three weeks.. the elders were happy to pass the buck on to me, her da'd daughter and my bro.. he has been living with her for 3 months and has transformed her ill-kept home and garden and literally nursed her like a professional alone.

  before i stepped in to help him care for her.

  he repeatedly told her how much he loved her and was so caring, it brought a lump to my throat.. he has been going to church sunday mornings, telling her he 'was meeting up with friends' so as not to cause friction.but she knew where he had been.. we noticed a shift in her demeanour towards us (she knows i'm a church-goer) over the week-end and she started to.

  Skinny dipping in the new order?

  the jw's are quick to tell you that when jehovah has finished kicking the ass of those who do not acknowledge the teachings of the watchtowers governing body in new york state, that those who survive will live forever in a restored paradise on earth.

  the same goes for those who are resurrected during the 1000 year reign of jesus and survive satan being let loose "for a little while" at the end.. they are also quick to tell you that everything will be just as it was for adam and eve before the latter decided she needed a fruit fix and then got her hubby high on it as well.. and when you view the illustrations in their publications showing what they view this paradise to be, it shows a world of lush color.

  the deep greens of all the trees and grass, the clean blue skies, puffy white clouds and tables covered in a plethora of fresh fruits and vegetables representing just about every major color.

  I remember one Jw I talked to many years ago believe we would all be naked and living under bushes. No buildings for that would ruin the earth. So according to him we will all be naked running around doint nothing but finding a bush to sleep under at night. LOL Still Totally ADD

  Why are alot of JW's Fascinated with Sci-Fi?

  i am still in & gradually fading.

  i have always wondered why alot of jw's that i know are really into alot of sci-fi stuff like star wars, i robot, x-men stuff etc.

  i mean they take it another level with this fantasy stuff.

  In the 60's when star trek was first on TV my mother would make me turn it off because she felt it was demonic. So I would have to find times to watch it when she was not around. It truly was freedom for me to escape the Wt. Cult for a little while. When my wife and I had children we would watch star trek and star trek nex generation with our boy's. Then after the show we would talk about science with them and what things could happen. Again being so deep into the cult this was a little freedom from the cult. I think this is why many JW like Sci-Fi so much. Still Totally ADD
